PSA Nitrogen Generator Description

The Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) nitrogen generator is designed with two adsorption towers that operate alternately to separate oxygen from compressed air. Each tower is filled with carbon molecular sieves (CMS), a high-performance adsorbent that selectively removes oxygen molecules from the air mixture.

When compressed air enters Tower A, oxygen is captured by the CMS while nitrogen passes through and is collected as the product gas. Meanwhile, Tower B undergoes a regeneration process, during which the adsorbed oxygen is released into the atmosphere along with a small amount of nitrogen.

After Tower A reaches adsorption saturation, the system automatically switches — Tower B begins adsorption while Tower A regenerates. Controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), the two towers operate in a fully automatic cycle, ensuring continuous nitrogen production with stable purity and efficiency.
