PSA Nitrogen Generator Description

The PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) nitrogen generator is composed of two adsorption vessels that operate alternately to separate oxygen from compressed air. Each vessel is filled with carbon molecular sieves (CMS), a specialized adsorbent that selectively captures oxygen molecules while allowing nitrogen to pass through.

When compressed air enters Tower A, oxygen molecules are adsorbed by the CMS, and high-purity nitrogen is collected from the outlet. Simultaneously, Tower B undergoes regeneration and desorption, releasing the previously adsorbed oxygen into the atmosphere with a small portion of nitrogen.

Once the adsorption capacity of Tower A is saturated, the system automatically switches: Tower A begins regeneration while Tower B starts adsorption. This alternating cycle continues automatically under the control of a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), ensuring a continuous supply of high-purity nitrogen.
