Automatic Repressurization:Before valve switching, the system automatically repressurizes and equalizes the pressure between the vessels. This ensures stable vessel pressure, minimizes pressure fluctuations and impact on the desiccant, and helps extend desiccant service life.

The Heatless Regenerative Desiccant Air Dryer operates on the principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA). At high water-vapor partial pressure, the desiccant adsorbs moisture from the compressed air. At low water-vapor partial pressure, the adsorbed moisture is desorbed and released back into the gas phase, thereby regenerating the desiccant.

A portion of the dry compressed air produced by the dryer is used as purge air for regeneration. Since the purge air and product air come from the same source, the system features a simple structure and convenient operation.

During heatless regeneration, the purge air not only provides the conditions required for desorption but also carries the released moisture out of the system. As the PSA process is generally considered isothermal, no additional cooling process is required. Desorption and regeneration of the desiccant are therefore completed simultaneously.

Operating Conditions & Technical Requirements

  • Applicable Fluids: Compressed air, non-corrosive air

  • Rated Inlet Pressure: 0.7 MPa (0.6–1.0 MPa optional; customizable upon request)

  • Rated Inlet Temperature: 10°C–30°C (maximum ≤ 40°C)

  • Average Regeneration Gas Consumption: 8%–14%

  • Outlet Pressure Dew Point: –50°C to –20°C

  • Adsorbent: High-quality activated alumina

  • Rated Ambient Temperature: 35°C (operating range 2°C–45°C)
