Recently, Guangdong Lingyu Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. successfully completed the delivery of a multi-million-yuan project. Four 1,600 m³/min Zero Purge Heat-of-Compression (HOC) Desiccant Air Dryers have been installed and commissioned for the centralized compressed air supply system of a large state-owned integrated energy enterprise in Northwest China.
The complete system is now operating under full-load conditions, providing a stable and reliable source of dry process air for textile manufacturing while delivering substantial energy savings and supporting the customer’s long-term low-carbon development goals.

The customer is a large state-owned integrated energy enterprise specializing in power generation, electricity distribution, district heating, and industrial steam transmission. Its industrial steam network primarily serves regional textile industrial parks, where production runs continuously throughout the year.
Because of the high-volume, around-the-clock compressed air demand, the customer required a drying system capable of delivering:
- Outstanding operational stability
- High energy efficiency
- Long service life with minimal maintenance
However, the existing conventional desiccant dryers faced significant challenges under Northwest China’s harsh operating conditions, characterized by large day-to-night temperature fluctuations and continuous heavy-duty production.
The previous system suffered from several critical issues:
- Regeneration consumed a large volume of finished compressed air, resulting in high compressor energy consumption.
- Fluctuating pressure dew points caused moisture accumulation inside pipelines, leading to corrosion, condensate formation, and quality defects in yarns and fabrics.
- Frequent equipment shutdowns and maintenance disrupted continuous production across the industrial park.
Customized High-Capacity Drying Solution
Following multiple rounds of technical evaluation and operating condition analysis, Lingyu developed a customized solution consisting of four Zero Purge Heat-of-Compression Desiccant Air Dryers, each with a treatment capacity of 1,600 m³/min, serving as the primary compressed air treatment equipment for the production facility.
The dryers regenerate the desiccant by utilizing the high-temperature waste heat from the air compressor discharge. Neither the heating regeneration cycle nor the cooling process consumes finished compressed air, significantly improving overall system efficiency.
With four dryers operating in parallel, the installation fully satisfies the park’s peak compressed air demand while delivering exceptional performance under demanding textile production conditions.

To further enhance system reliability, the compressed air piping adopts hot-dip galvanized construction, providing up to 10 years of corrosion protection, minimizing pipeline deterioration and reducing the risk of supply interruptions.

Each dryer is equipped with a Siemens touchscreen-based fully automatic control system.
The intelligent controller continuously adjusts operating conditions according to real-time compressed air demand, while a proportional control valve precisely regulates regeneration airflow.
The system operates efficiently across a load range of 30% to 110%, ensuring stable air supply throughout varying production cycles and supporting intelligent manufacturing operations.
End-to-End Quality Assurance and Turnkey Project Delivery
Considering the project’s remote location, large equipment size, and complex system integration requirements, Lingyu established a comprehensive quality management process covering every stage of the project.
Each dryer underwent multiple rounds of factory performance testing before shipment. Customized transportation protection plans were implemented, while Lingyu’s professional service engineers supervised on-site installation, commissioning, and system startup.
